Nominations open Monday, 4 March at 7.00pm until Sunday, 29 March at 5.00pm.
Anyone working in the Southern Lakes hospitality industry can fill out a nomination form. The 'industry' encompasses all owners and workers at hospitality establishments and their direct suppliers. If you are unsure whether you are eligible to submit a nomination form, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
You are asked to give your name, email address, position and company name when submitting your nomination form.
The nomination period is a "free-for all". You may nominate whomever you like in each category including all previous winners, however we do have a few rules in place to keep it fair:
Employers may not nominate their colleagues or fellow employees of their own establishment or within a group*
No Staff member can nominate for their colleagues from their own establishment – employee or employer, or within a wider group*
When completing the online nomination form - you can cast a nomination in as many, or as little categories as you like
Each establishment can only complete five nomination forms each
*Please NB: Wider Group refers to multiple outlets under one shared ownership.
We thought you might ask that...
Employers can nominate their employees of their own establishment, but no staff member can nominate their colleagues from their own establishment.
AND to keep it fair, no individual is entitled to nominate themselves or the establishment they work for.
Nominations are open to all members of the industry, whether you are a member of the Restaurant Association or not.
However, it does pay to be a member of the Restaurant Association, because all members this year get a discounted ticket price to the awards night (whoop whoop!).

You need to rally your peers for nominations during the nomination period (Monday, 4 March - Friday, 29 March).
Encourage all of your industry peers to nominate you across that time - the top three people/establishments in each category with the MOST NOMINATIONS become the finalists.
Chocolate bribes are all very well and good, but a bit of honest talent does help.
Once nominations close on Friday, 29 March at 5.00pm, the nominations are collated and the top three people/businesses in each category (with the most nominations) are selected.
These finalists (three per category) will be announced on Tuesday, 2 April via the Queenstown Hospitality Awards Facebook Page.
You can vote for your favourite (from the three finalists in each category) online from Tuesday, 2 April from 7.00pm.
Voting closes on Sunday, 21 April May at midnight.

There are four 'Supreme' Awards up for grabs:
The Supreme Awards go to the people/establishments who receive the most votes overall in their category section. They become the Supreme winners of the evening and might even get confetti sprinkled on them.
In addition to receiving a gold trophy, these Supreme Winners are also awarded a marketing package to promote their success following the awards. Blimmin' show offs...
Anyone! The awards night is a celebration of the industry as a whole. We encourage people from all sides of the industry to come along.
Tickets are $95 per person ($85 for RA Members members) and include an open bar and a 3-Course Dinner.
PLEASE NOTE - Ticket numbers are strictly limited (due to venue capacity) so avoid missing out by purchasing your tickets early.
Yes! All our finalists will receive one complimentary ticket.

We'll be popping a few bottles of champers, so yes - the awards evening is R18 only.

Just kidding... Each winner goes home with a rad wooden trophy - pop it up on your bar, your bathroom shelf, or wave it in the face of haters everywhere you go.
Awards winners will also get a window decal for you to proudly display at your establishment.
