Nominations open Tuesday 11th June and close Sunday 30th June.

Anyone working in the Bay of Plenty hospitality industry (excluding Rotorua) can fill out a nomination form. The ‘industry’ encompasses all owners and workers at hospitality establishments and their direct suppliers. If you are unsure whether you are eligible to submit a nomination form, please email events@restaurantnz.co.nz. 

You are asked to give your name, email address, position and company name when submitting your nomination form.

You can nominate anyone working in the Bay of Plenty hospitality industry, however, you cannot nominate your colleagues or fellow employees, or the establishment you work for.

If your establishment is part of a group, you cannot nominate any staff members or establishments within the wider group.

Please NB: Employers/Managers can nominate their employees in the Emerging Front of House and Emerging Chef categories. You will be asked to provide information relating to this person and their role within your establishment on the nomination form.

Each establishment can only submit five nomination forms per business, any forms received over and above this will be disregarded.

To keep it fair, no individual is entitled to nominate themselves or the establishment they work for.

The Bay Hospitality Awards nominations are open to all members of the industry, whether you are a member of the Restaurant Association or not.

However, it does pay to be a member of the Restaurant Association, because all members this year get a discounted ticket price to the awards night (whoop whoop!).

Once nominations close on Sunday 30th June at 5.00pm, the nominations are collated and the finalists will be contacted with further information.

Finalists will then be announced on our Facebook Page on Tuesday 9th July when Final Voting opens.

You can vote for your favourite (from the finalists in each category) online from Tuesday 9th July.

Voting closes on Sunday 28th July.

Same rules apply for the voting form as they do the nomination form.

Anyone! The awards night is a celebration of the industry as a whole. We encourage people from all sides of the industry to come along. The evening includes the awards announcement plus a cocktail networking event.

Tickets are $70+gst.

PLEASE NOTE - Ticket numbers are strictly limited (due to venue capacity) so avoid missing out by purchasing your tickets early.

We’ll be popping a few bottles of champers, so yes - the awards evening on Sunday, 11 August is R18 only.
